The Graham Center for Collaborative Innovation (GCCI) Grants Program invests in YCP collaborations that span academic disciplines, bridges the university and local business community, and centers student learning and engagement.

This program is intended to promote and grow unique interdisciplinary partnerships. We seek to support researchers and practitioners who want to work with others outside of their traditional academic areas in truly integrated ways. The proposed collaboration should require on-going dialogue, joint decision making, and efforts that include contributions of all partners to complete all aspects. In other words, having part of a team complete a component and the other part of the team, after it is completed, do something with that component is not in the spirit of this funding opportunity.

Examples of potential proposal areas include, but are not limited to:

The GCCI Grant Program does NOT currently fund the following:

Collaborating on solving a gap, issues, or need through research or product development
Creating a cross-disciplinary pre-college program for high school students
Designing shared learning spaces that facilitate teamwork and experiential learning
Addressing students’ academic, social, and wellness needs to persist in college
Creating an interdisciplinary international exchange or study abroad program

Materials, products, or programs intended to be owned and used for profit by a sole proprietor (We encourage these applicants to pursue funding through the JD Brown Center for Entrepreneurship.)
Evaluations or curriculum revisions expected for existing academic programs
Participation costs for faculty to attend workshops, conferences, or professional development in their areas of expertise (unless presenting on outcomes of GCCI funded work)
